:P Hi all

I tried to changed my head unit and got a proplem

The new unit was working fine for 3-5 minutes then stopped the old unit will now only work if i press the button on the front of the unit i.e. no longer comes on and off with the ignition :16:

Help me as i am at a loss :P :lol: :16:

Sounds like either a fuse or the aerial amplifier has caused a fault the unit you tried and is now failed.

 

The amplifier takes power from the head unit and if you new headunit does not have this feature it may have caused a fault or popped a fuse.

anyone got a diagram of what each wire does on the multiplugs on the back of the radio??

ie which one is the aeriel amp wire.

You will need to check at least 2 fuses - the permanent live feed and the ignition-switched one. There may also be another fuse on the back of the CD-radio unit itself (not sure - I have the cassette radio head unit in mine)

All the fuses are ok ?

my ford head unit 6000 if i press the button on the front of the unit it works but still will not come no or off with the ignition :angry: :D
